A Study of Performance Evaluation and Macroeconomic Effect of Sino-Pakistan Capacity Cooperation

Abstract:

Nowadays, the capacity cooperation projects between China and Pakistan have been expanded to transport infrastructure, electricity and other fields, and the industrial cooperation between two countries has been comprehensively upgraded. Based on the relevant data from 2000 to 2019, the paper constructs the performance evaluation system of Sino-Pakistan capacity cooperation from the aspects of economy, industry, capacity cooperation, infrastructure, technology, society, system and finance, and analyzes and studies the performance of Sino-Pakistan capacity cooperation and its impact on Pakistan's macro-economy. The study finds that the comprehensive performance of Sino-Pakistan capacity cooperation shows the overall trend is upward from 2000 to 2019, and the performance of capacity cooperation has been significantly improved after the construction of the Sino-Pakistan Economic Corridor was launched in 2013, which effectively promotes the economic, social, industrial and infrastructure development of Pakistan. Sino-Pakistan capacity cooperation has produced a significant promotional effect on macro-economy in Pakistan. To promote the quality and efficiency of Sino-Pakistan capacity cooperation, it is of great necessity to strengthen the policy support and service guarantee system construction, establish a standardized and efficient cooperation mechanism, strengthen the construction of financial guarantee system, innovate the business operation mode of China Pakistan capacity cooperation to promote the integration of Sino-Pakistan capacity cooperation into the global value chain division of labor.
