Abstract:

Under the backdrop of climate risks, the accelerated digital transformation of agricultural enterprises is of great significance for the sustainable development of China's agriculture. To explore the impact of climate risk on the digital transformation of agricultural enterprises, this study employs a double fixed-effects model to conduct an empirical test based on the micro-data of A-share agricultural enterprises from 2007 to 2022. The results show that climate risk exerts a forcing effect on the digital transformation of agricultural enterprises. The mechanism test indicates that climate risk enhances the environmental attention of executives, thereby promoting the digital transformation of agricultural enterprises. The threshold effect test shows that the forcing effect of climate risk on digital transformation exhibits a single threshold effect. When organizational inertia, governance capacity, and government subsidies reach a certain threshold, the forcing effect changes significantly. The heterogeneity analysis shows that climate risk significantly forces digital transformation of agricultural enterprises with different ownership and governance structures. The forcing effect is stronger for non-state-owned enterprises and those with a unified position of chairman and general manager. However, in terms of regional distribution, the intensification of climate risks only exerts a forcing effect on the digital transformation of agriculture-related enterprises in the eastern region of China.

摘要:

在气候风险背景下,涉农企业加快数字化转型,对于我国农业可持续发展具有重要意义。为探究气候风险对涉农企业数字化转型的影响,文章选取2007—2022年我国A股涉农上市公司微观数据,运用双重固定效应模型进行实证检验。研究表明:气候风险加剧能够倒逼涉农企业推进数字化转型,高管环境注意力在其中发挥了调节作用。同时,气候风险加剧对涉农企业数字化转型的倒逼作用存在单一门槛效应,当组织惯性、治理水平和政府补贴达到一定阈值后,倒逼作用会发生明显变化。此外,从企业产权性质和治理结构特征来看,气候风险加剧对不同产权、不同治理结构特征的涉农企业数字化转型均具有倒逼作用,且对非国有涉农企业和两职合一型涉农企业的作用更强;从企业地理区域分布来看,气候风险加剧仅对我国东部地区涉农企业数字化转型有倒逼作用。
